Finally, Finally, Finally, I had the time tonight to finish off sharing my volunteering experience with you guys at the 11th season of Philly Fashion Week!!! So, day three and four.......... 

Imagine an atmosphere full of ALL walks of creative people showcasing their love towards style, art, & passion freely! I was super excited that I had the opportunity to photograph behind the scenes photo's of Project Runway's Season 12 winner, and Philly's own Ready-to-Wear Designer Dom Streater during all the madness! (I loved the collection, Dom!)

 For me, it was the perfect rendition of the modern romanticist....With beautiful hues of pink, white, black and floral abstract prints and Oh, of course the impeccable craftsmanship, I was truly able to appreciate the love and hard work that went into every garment! 

All in all day two, the Couture show as a whole, was my Favvvvvv! 

I love Color! And you can expect a lot of color from the designers inside! Since Fashion Goes There, I am all about taking fashion to another level! I met a ton of wonderful designers as well as models, jewelry designers, artists etc. and can't wait until next season! Lately, I have been so busy that It's been hard for me to post my Philly Fashion Week recap in a timely manner so pardon my late posts folks!!

So! Thursday Feb 20th was Day Two!!! I actually volunteered, but was able to capture some really cool flicks of the vibes going on during Renee Philadelphia International's Launch! Besides cool people and cool vibes, lets touch on the fact that Renee International is a three-storie Hair Salon, Nail Salon, Spa, & Photography Studio also specializing in International model management!! Kerry Scott & Kevin Parker of FBH Agency (also the owners & organizers of Philly Fashion Week) are co-owners of the newly acclaimed international organization!! Knowing what they have done with Philly Fashion as a whole, I am confident that Renee International will be highly successful!! Before ultimately indulging my wholehearted efforts into being a backstage volunteer for Philly Fashion Week, I had to make sure I attended this Lux Men's Wear event!!! 

Celebrating 11 Seasons last week, Philly Fashion Week kicked off it's runway experience @ The Ritz Carlton with the 1st of its kind!! I sat in the front row and captured my favorite looks from the men designers and their detailed collections as I am becoming more and more inspired by menswear!! The event consisted of uber fab guest (both men & women) and great music by none other than Philly's own "Hollywood" DJ!!! INDIE-DESIGNER TAKEOVER x TWO!!!!............VIEW MORE

Saturday night while in Old City, I attended the US*US boutique for the Indie Designer 1st Friday mixer!! The event was thrown to support local independent, made in america, fashion designers and was sponsored by HughE Dillon of Philly Chit Chat, Sarragamo, Tito's Handmade Vodka, & DJ Chaisley Lussier!! Some of the featured designers included LELE, Aso Dimisi, Secret Bohemia, Lobo Mau, Katie Yamaguchi, Mariel Rojo, & Lila Ila! 

The event was a hit!! Last fall I went to my first Indie Designer takeover event (pics below) held at the Kembrel Pop-up Shop on Chestnut St.. And it was fun, but this one was wayy more of my type of party! I loved the indoor/outdoor setting along with the free style-spirt atmosphere. And as always, I had a wonderful time meeting some pretty cool peeps! Check them out when you read on.
 
After snapping a few pics, I wanted to double back around the corner to Cultured Couture for their Art-Music first Friday event! By the time I got there the festivities were over :(. I did get a chance though to take a quick flick of my good friend and his uber cute dog Polo!!

 It's All About I N D I V I D U A L I T Y!

This was the best Odunde that I have ever been too! I don't know why..... but it was just something about the energy in thoses streets of South Philly that ooozed peace & love!! The streets were packed as ususal, but there was no violence...no negativity.....there wasn't even enough air space for that.Lol. The vibe was just too powerful!!

It was a really great feeling to be in one place at one time with sooo many people that appreciated art, individuality, music, dance, style, and most importantly African culture!!!

I left feeling revived, regenerated, & almost reinvented in a way!

Last Wednesday I was cordially invited to attend Celebrity Stylist Anthony Henderson's Media mixer for his 2nd annual upcoming event, One Night Only. The media Mixer was held at the wonderful Showroom 77 located right off of South Street in downtown Philadelphia!

One Night Only will be happening this Friday evening from 7:00pm-11:00pm and is a fundraiser and cocktail gathering serving the purposes of raising proceeds for the fabulous 17 Days of Fashion & this years 1st Full Figured Fashion Week!! A few weeks back, I got invited to a small jewelry showcase that was being held at a new hotel in Old City.  The display took place on the rooftop lounge at Hotel Monaco inside one of their uniquely decorated event rooms. The view was AMAZING!!!!.....
Ashley Devawn hosted the intimate event, while giving away complimentary gifts to all of her guest! Her online boutique is based out of New York City but is truly nation wide, selling accessories from all over including Florida, Chicago, California, the DMV and even Canada!!! YOUNG, HIP & CHIC PRESENTS: URBAN FLRT'S TRUNK SHOW!!!!!! ...........VIEW MORE

So, early Saturday evening I got the chance to view an exclusive T-shirt line based out of Harlem, New York!! The event was held at Showroom 77, which is one of Philly's first showrooms, located right off of South Street! The owner/blogger of Young, Hip & Chic, Tweety Elitou, decided to partner with Urban FLRT to give Philly a little taste of the creativity that comes straight out of Harlem!
I arrived pretty late, but of course I still had the pleasure to meet Mr. Corey Wesley who is the owner and designer of  the Urban FLRT brand. His shirts were ultra soft and are designed with the art embedded in the shirts themselves. Giving you the opportunity to make any style your favorite and wear it over and over and over again!! The trunk show was an amazing  introduction to his Spring/Summer 2013 collection and the chic tee's gave me Art & Fashion at it's best!!  I was uber happy that I got  my very own UF tee! AND........it was free, lol!

Yesterday was suppose to be a networking fulfilled night for me (with no work involved) and yet somehow I still managed to snap a few flicks of the action at the LaToiaMichelle Pop Up shop event; with my phone lol. The shin-dig was held at the newly opened Bellargo Piarge Boutique in the Piazza @Schmidts, consisting of light treats and complimentary drinks!! I got a chance to see some of the latest and hottest threads to come out of the LaTioaMichelle camp first hand including trendy tops, pants, and head wear!!! Imperfek has officially hit the streets of Philly!!!! Sumi Floyd was a proud designer  last night  selling out of all her sweatshirts from her new and upcoming  line "Imperfek". She creates and reconstructs pants, shirts, etc. you name it and she can do it! The event last night consisted of a host of family and friends to support the woman of the evening, cupcakes by Tastee Pastries, fruity drinks & of course food!!..... Last night I attended the official launch of Milan Rouge's blog Iammilanrouge.com and her brand Milano Di Rouge. I have to say I was impressed! The event was a major success!!! I had the pleasure of interviewing the beautiful Milan during the event as we stood in the lobby of  Industry XIX  &  discussed her position in the industry, how long she has been going hard, and her excitement about her recent accomplishments!! Yesterday evening I had the privilege of meeting some very important people over at South Moon Under on Chestnut street, when I attended their "Girls Night Out" event. First off, they had a KILLER DJ!!! He was sure to play all the major hits all night long  so that the guests had something to jam to while we ate delicious complimentary snacks and sweets! The night basically consisted of fab Giveaways, Make-up applications, and flattering Nail designs.  I will be doing my interview segment for Locality Love of the store....so stay posted!!!
