The drama, the intensity, the BEST!!! The season finale tonight was everything I needed it to be....Blair and Chuck, Serena and Dan....the Bass'. Too much! And you already know the fashion was on point!! This series was one of the first fashion t.v. shows to inspire me to do what I'm doing today! Every look has been consistently executed on an immaculate level episode after episode and tonight didn't fail me either. Leighton Meester (Blair) wore a beautiful blue Elie Saab gown and Blake Lively(Serena) ended the evening in a gold & white tulle Georges Chakra Couture gown! We all knew this was coming one day & anybody with any type of style, fashion sense, and/or class is going to truly miss Gossip Girl, I know! According to The Sun, British native Kate Moss is one who's very fond of Rihanna's attitude and has been wanting to collaborate with her on the modeling front for quite sometime now. Yesterday evening I had the privilege of meeting some very important people over at South Moon Under on Chestnut street, when I attended their "Girls Night Out" event. First off, they had a KILLER DJ!!! He was sure to play all the major hits all night long  so that the guests had something to jam to while we ate delicious complimentary snacks and sweets! The night basically consisted of fab Giveaways, Make-up applications, and flattering Nail designs.  I will be doing my interview segment for Locality Love of the store....so stay posted!!! This past weekend I hit up Jay-Z's 1st annual "Made In America" concert, a 2day event, and let me tell you........IT WAS FRICKIN AWESOME!!!! I got to see a number of acts from MMG, to Run DMC (which was EPIC might I add), Janelle Monae, Drake and plenty many more. It was one hot day sometime in July as we walked around NYC looking for places to get some great shots. Initially, we were going to shoot in the hotel but after contemplating on outfits I started getting excited and decided to depict a Bonified-Bonita!! This was my first time working with a sexy and voluptuous model and I can admit that it was a bit challenging trying to meet her request by channeling sex appeal with little modesty. Well Well Well what do we have here???
Fashion at its best as some would call it, but mostly known as the Baroque trend!! This trend is my Fav so far for our upcoming Fall season, as gold is my favorite color ;-).  Not to mention, D&G executed its revival in the most modern way. Drawing me to it like a bug in the night to a bright light, lol!!

Baroque is defined as a highly decorated form of Art, developed during the 1600's. It was a period of artistic style that flourished all throughout Europe at the hands of painters, architectural designers, dancers, men of literature, & musicians. The word was derived from the Spanish term "Barroco" referencing an "imperfect pearl", which certainly has the perfect contrast in my eyes!..... Be sure to view more and get a load of D&G's interpretation of this legendary, fanciful, & extravagant trend!!!

RENT THE RUNWAY MEETS PHILLY STYLE BLOGGERS!!!!!!........VIEW MORE

So tonight I had the pleasure of attending a FAB networking event held at the Hyatt Bellevue; specifically at Bar Nineteen!!! The event was hosted by Philly Style Bloggers founder, Fajr Muhammad and Rent The Runway.com. Which is an everything-fashion online rental store perfect for the Fashionista with a  champagne taste on a beer budget ;-).  Giving you access to over 150 well known designers as in Nina Ricci, DVF, BCBGMaxazria, Matthew Williamson & Vera Wang  just to name a few. RTR was the main focus of the night, as they had beautiful women strutting around the room in phenomenal dresses. The energy, cocktails, and finger foods were a delightful touch in making it an ultimate experience!! You can be sure to get a quick glimpse of what is on the site tomorrow morning on the NBC10 Spot show, airing at 10:30am.

RUNWAY REPORT: I have to say I'm LOVING the new Versace Fall 2012 Couture collection!! I keep telling myself that one day I'll actually be able to afford Versace; it's certainly on my bucket list lol.
This year Donatella's models killed the runway while in Paris, as she chose beautiful color pallets from nudes to bright jewel tones, and great designs with splits and slits..... Life is many things but never meaningless and no matter what is thrown at you, you have to hold on to your faiths. Saturday June 16th,  marked a anniversary date in my life that just ain't so sweet I'd have to say. But hey, I'm the type of person that always believed that everything happens for a reason. So I really never questioned why my mother died at age 13.  I figure, maybe life is teaching me some things that she may never could...Thinking back on what kind of life I imagine I would've had if she were still here. Normally, I don't discuss this sort of thing with people that aren't my closest family & friends, but this year marks ten and that's something talk about! And what better way than through styling and shooting at her grave site!

Timeless She is!..
The late Donyale Luna was the true definition of  a "Cover Girl". Luna, actress and model, was born in Detroit Michigan on August 31st, 1945 & died at the  age of 34 on May 17th, 1979.  During the mid 60's, she moved from Detroit to New york in order to pursue her modeling career and there she met Photographer David McCabe. Make note, that Donyale WAS and IS the first official black fashion Supermodel, gracing plenty of runways, magazine covers, and movies before the term even existed. Lol.....sorry Beverly, Naomi, & Iman but my heart has a new found fashion love and she's of great inspiration to me!!! ......... click link for more photo's

So as I flipped page by page through the March issue of  Harper's Bazaar mag., I stumbled across a 4 page spread of new designs from the classic Michael Cromer Munich (MCM) Spring/Summer 2012 collection; from ready to wear, to jewelry, to luggage, to watches & most of all my Fav - hand bags!!.... Right at that moment, I thought about the first time I had owned anything MCM and how much I loved my classic fanny pack, but since it was vintage it would never really be "MY OWN" if you know what I mean. Only to find, that in 2005 the line was bought  by one of the richest women in asia, Sung-Joo Kim! Changing every thing that I had ever thought, about owning my very own MCM hand bag!! The new and improved MCM (Mode Creation Munich) made their official Comeback when they released the Fall/Winter 2010 collection about two years ago.
