Last week, I had the pleasure of viewing  Philadelphia native Uncool_Chuck, curator and creator, of We Culture in a different light! The modern mogul most notably known for his existing clothing line Righteous Rebel and unforgettable style, closed the old year sharing an intimate & inspiring experience with his fellow artist community that was unforgettable.
My perspective of his artwork as a collective, was a reflective process for myself dealing with heartbreak, anger, and confusion to say the least. I left very much inspired and ready to embark on my own art journey to share with the world! 

In the meantime, CALLING ALL PHILLY ARTISTS, for the 3rd and Final artist community photo!!! 500 PPL to stand on the Art Museum steps in unity is this years goal, so let's come together and make this thing happen!

O.P.P. TOUR KICKS OFF IN PHILLY AS A PEACE & LOVE CONCERT!!!!!!!!!.............VIEW MORE

I am super stoked to be project managing this epic tour production! I need everyone that reads this to come out and enjoy a night full of positive vibes & positive people!!! Our tour kickoff is hastily approaching on August 29th and I cannot wait! Countless hours and efforts have been poured into this dream of bringing positivity, social change, & conscious truths to the community in a wavy way!

The movement started as a 4 city tour and, living up to its hype & success from last year, is expanding into a 10-Stop City Tour! Hitting the streets of Philly, Jersey, Delaware, Baltimore, D.C. Lately, I have been so busy that It's been hard for me to post my Philly Fashion Week recap in a timely manner so pardon my late posts folks!!

So! Thursday Feb 20th was Day Two!!! I actually volunteered, but was able to capture some really cool flicks of the vibes going on during Renee Philadelphia International's Launch! Besides cool people and cool vibes, lets touch on the fact that Renee International is a three-storie Hair Salon, Nail Salon, Spa, & Photography Studio also specializing in International model management!! Kerry Scott & Kevin Parker of FBH Agency (also the owners & organizers of Philly Fashion Week) are co-owners of the newly acclaimed international organization!! Knowing what they have done with Philly Fashion as a whole, I am confident that Renee International will be highly successful!!  The first time I fell in love with Ryan Powell's work was last fall when he took this photo of me below at the Philly Fashion Week Ready-to-Wear showcase! His style just captures the moment.... any moment... and made me feel like I was the only girl in the world looking back at it! =)

In the eyes of the photographer, he's more than just that but rather a "Time Stopper" & I whole heartedly agree!! I would have to say for me, the eclectic photo artist has an incomparable style as all his photo's deliver a warm feel and makes you feel as if you were there!

INDIE-DESIGNER TAKEOVER x TWO!!!!............VIEW MORE

Saturday night while in Old City, I attended the US*US boutique for the Indie Designer 1st Friday mixer!! The event was thrown to support local independent, made in america, fashion designers and was sponsored by HughE Dillon of Philly Chit Chat, Sarragamo, Tito's Handmade Vodka, & DJ Chaisley Lussier!! Some of the featured designers included LELE, Aso Dimisi, Secret Bohemia, Lobo Mau, Katie Yamaguchi, Mariel Rojo, & Lila Ila! 

The event was a hit!! Last fall I went to my first Indie Designer takeover event (pics below) held at the Kembrel Pop-up Shop on Chestnut St.. And it was fun, but this one was wayy more of my type of party! I loved the indoor/outdoor setting along with the free style-spirt atmosphere. And as always, I had a wonderful time meeting some pretty cool peeps! Check them out when you read on.
 
After snapping a few pics, I wanted to double back around the corner to Cultured Couture for their Art-Music first Friday event! By the time I got there the festivities were over :(. I did get a chance though to take a quick flick of my good friend and his uber cute dog Polo!!

PHILLY STREET FASHION: ODUNDE STYLE!!!!........VIEW MORE

 It's All About I N D I V I D U A L I T Y!

This was the best Odunde that I have ever been too! I don't know why..... but it was just something about the energy in thoses streets of South Philly that ooozed peace & love!! The streets were packed as ususal, but there was no violence...no negativity.....there wasn't even enough air space for that.Lol. The vibe was just too powerful!!

It was a really great feeling to be in one place at one time with sooo many people that appreciated art, individuality, music, dance, style, and most importantly African culture!!!

I left feeling revived, regenerated, & almost reinvented in a way!

Last Wednesday I was cordially invited to attend Celebrity Stylist Anthony Henderson's Media mixer for his 2nd annual upcoming event, One Night Only. The media Mixer was held at the wonderful Showroom 77 located right off of South Street in downtown Philadelphia!

One Night Only will be happening this Friday evening from 7:00pm-11:00pm and is a fundraiser and cocktail gathering serving the purposes of raising proceeds for the fabulous 17 Days of Fashion & this years 1st Full Figured Fashion Week!!  Yesterday was an exciting day for me as I turned the pages of the Daily News hastily in an effort to find my personal style photo taking by no other than Philly's own Big Rube!! He captured this amazing photo about two weeks ago and I have to admit I wondered if it was actually going to be published.
